Wildflower Lacquer Blow Me...Away | June 2019 Polish Pickup

Are you ready for Polish Pickup swatches? I have two amazingly squishy shades to share this month, and I think they are both must-haves.

(promotional samples ahead)

This squishy jelly is a flake-filled tornado inside a peach tea colored base. It has a delicate spray of iridescent microflakes on top of shifting multichrome flakes. You'll see the orangey-red face then it shifts into a ruddy, adrenaline flushed russet. I really like this, as a neutral, on me but I think this particular shade will sing on warmer medium to deep skintones.

I used three thin coats plus a layer of Seche Vite here. I bet if you layered this over a wine shade (Vapid Lacquer Wine O'Clock or Orly Plum Noir would both be really neat) it would shift into a whole different creature. And if you wanted an ultra-dense version of this sponging it on will reduce it down like a good sauce, leaving you with only those sexy flakes and shimmers. As I get older, I am starting to really appreciate shades that do double duty. Maybe it is my whole "konmari" adventure, but I want things around me that are infinitely useful and will spark all sorts of joy!

And of course, my mostly patented shift shot. I love how reptillian the flakes feel in this base. Like some exotic serpent lurking in a tree ripped from a surrealist's dream.
