I promised more deliciousness from Vapid this week, and I have come to deliver. Today I have a seven-piece collection of supple creams that are sure to make you sigh with names that will make you blush. What could be better than that?
(promotional samples ahead)
Snuggle Monster is a vividly electric rose cream that leans just a little warm. It is so magically smooth and opaque that is is practically a one-coater. I used two plus Seche Vite here, but for non-picture manicures, I think I could be happy with just one.
Rock the Boat
Rock the Boat is a dusty, smoked near-navy blue cream. If you are a Whovian, but prefer a less loud shade, then this is for you. It is smooth and opaque in just two coats. I feel like these deep blues are such a nice, modern alternative to the typical vampy shades in the fall and winter...or spring...and summer.
Netflix and Chill
Netflix and Chill is a medium cool iris purple. Because I have spent the last eight years with kids, this reminds me of the Lego Friends (aka the "girl legos") that my girls are currently obsessed with. (Did you know, btw, that Darth Vader loves having a garden? I didn't either, but the "girl legos" have allowed him to explore new hobbies) I used two think coats plus a layer of SV for this picture.
Brown Chicken Brown Cow
Brown Chicken Brown Cow is a perfect coffee brown. In fact, I was disappointed because it didn't smell of coffee...so I drank more coffee to compensate. This shade was the most opaque, and it is pictured here with just one normal coat. No patches, no lumps...just lovely.
Feed Me Grapes would be the purple to turn a purple-hater to the right side of things. It is a wonderfully warmish purple that is even and opaque in two thin coats. I kinda love that I have a lipstick that is almost exactly this shade.
Puhcock is a slightly muted peacock teal. It is wonderfully bright and smooth, and is definitely in the running for my favorite from this collection. I used two thin coats plus a thin layer of SV.
Wine O'Clock is a deep, lush berry. It applied easy and smooth and I only needed two thin coats for the picture below.
I know that I am a little less verbose than normal. But really, this whole collection...each shade is beautiful. The brushes are the perfect size for my nails and the formula. I admit I was afraid of a few of these...the fear of staining is a real thing. But none of these stained my nails nor my skin at all, and reds and teals are dangerous for me. These polishes dry smooth, glossy, and delightfully level. They are not the sort of chalky creams that must have a thick topper to look good. Whichever shade you pick...you'll be over the moon in love.
But if you buy them all, I will nod my head in silent approval. I think this whole collection is a must-have.
