Halloween is Better Than Christmas

(promotional samples, donations, and general awesomeness ahead)

It is that time of year, kids. Spooky things, ghoulish delights...and glitter. SO. MUCH. GLITTER. This year is a little different, because I am all on my own this year for Halloween...so I rounded up a few pals and decided to throw a party...and you're all invited!

Bedlam Beauty Halloween Giveaway

beware! there is a horrifying number of pictures in this post.

The Giveaway is closed. Congrats to Marie G.

I started planning this back in...July? Yeah, that sounds right. And then, of course...I forgot about it completely once school started. I'm good for that. So this isn't as omfgamazing as I intended...but I think I have one special thing that will make up for that.

OPI My Vampire is Buff from Chez Francince
holycow thanks to Chez Francine for hooking me up with this swatch!
Baroness X Euryale

About that unique shade...There are exactly two bottles in existence guys. I have a mini that I used to swatch, and the full size pictured here below. It has never been opened. You will be the only mortal to ever wear this shifting blue shade.

Euryale is a blue-to-green duochrome with a bright purple flash. It has a dusting of cool flakies and holo glitters. It is a light formula, and I used three coats + Seche Vite for all the pictures here. I think this would be an excellent layering shade over a black/navy/violet, but it is easily and comfortably built up to wear on its own. It is such a subtle shifter, I swear I took fifty pictures, and no two show the exact same color.

Frustratingly stunning. You'll be the envy of the graveyard!

  4. Ha! I can enter since I didn't provide anything for this one! BAM.

If I had unlimited time and funds, I would be something super extravagant like Edward Scissorhands, with bush sculpture, or maybe the red queen, or Dany WITH DRAGONS. Real ones, obvs.

  5. I was going to dress at Tasha Lem from Doctor Who this year, but then I ended up with a new hair color and have now decided to go as The Woman in Red from The Matrix!

    ReplyDelete
  16. I was thinking about going as Wendy from The Shining because I'm a little twisted like that.

    ReplyDelete

  32. You've been holding out on me lady! Amazing giveaway! I'm not much of a dresser-upper, something to do with being a socially awkward introvert....blah blah. However, if I did feel the urge to dress up I'd go as one of two things: The OG Bride of Frankenstein (I dressed up as her once when I was about 10, it was badass) or some type of old Hollywood starlet like Mae West.

  37. Ok, so I'm doing something rather odd for Halloween. My partner and I are flying to Salt Lake City Utah for the day-well, more like a 6 hour layover-just for the hell of it (and because we scored some practically free plane tickets and that was the only city that had a long enough layover time to actually leave the airport). I'm and atheist, he's Catholic, and we are visiting Temple square. Surely there's an inappropriate costume idea somewhere in there. Any ideas?

  38. If I was dressing up I would be Dorthy from the Wizard of Oz! Any chance to wear red sparkly heels!!
