Vapid Nail Lacquer | Summer Shenanigans 2017

Vapid Nail Lacquer is back with more summertime fun! In addition to a quintet of brilliant bright shades, there are new products and formulations. By the looks of things, it is looking like we are in for a ton of treats.

You Really Blue It

This is a clear, happy bright blue jelly holo. It is simple and classic, and frankly a breath of fresh air. I feel like this peppy shade is a nice palate cleanser, giving me something sparkly and easy to enjoy before the vampy Fall shades settle in. The formula is very good, akin to the Jelly Holos from last year. I used three thin coats plus a layer of Seche Vite here.

Bitchy Pink

This is a neutral Barbie pink with an electric neon pink shimmer. It applies smooth and creamy, and that subtle shimmer gives it a mischievous glint. I could have made this a one-coater if I had tried, but as it was I used two coats plus a layer of Seche Vite. 

Give em Shell

This is a grayed-taupe cream with a vibrant oceanic shifting shimmer and matching iridescent glitters. This is at once my favorite and least favorite shade in the whole collection. It is my favorite because...well, look at it! It is a neutral with a kick, and that is right up my alley. It is my least favorite because iridescent glitters can look like holes at the wrong angles. But they lay smoothly under top coat, and they catch the light in the spookiest way. I used two coats plus a layer of Seche Vite here.

Risque

Can you believe I like a coral?! Turns out all you have to do to make me love coral is turn it up to eleven. This hot cream has a fine, subtle gold glow. It isn't super obvious, it just gives it a warmth that makes it feel nearly neon. The formula is the typical Vapid cream, and I used two coats plus a layer of Seche Vite.

Beach Please

Are you looking for the perfect midday-sky blue? With a pearly shimmer that is evocative of wispy clouds? Then do I have a shade for you. Oh, yeah...its this one. It is a great tropical blue, and it applies as prettily as it looks. I used three thin coats here under a layer of Seche Vite.

What else is new, you ask? Well Vapid is introducing their first-ever moisturizing body mists! I received the scent Mermaid Tears...and I can't quite describe it. It smells very like the wax tart, and my preliminary patch test went off without a hitch! I think I may pick it up in Rise & Shine, if it makes an appearance in the future. From the fan group: 

Moisturizing Body Mist will be debuting this month in 4 scents, and 2 sizes will be available. Our Body Mist is alcohol free, and can also be used as a hair perfume and shine spray. We are so excited to bring this new product to you, we have been looking forward to it’s release for a long time. We hope you love it as much as we do!
