This month, we have Lisa of Cosmetic Sanctuary to thank for this sweet springtime scent. As soon as the theme (Junk Food) was announced, she tossed out possibly the best idea she will ever have: Baja Blast inspired wax melt. I had no idea what to expect, but I generally trust her scent preferences.
I have regrets, but not about the scent.
The scent is surprisingly pleasant for something inspired by a soda. On cold sniff, it is a bright citrus forward fizzed tropical scent wrapped in fresh clean laundry. Imagine being wrapped in a fresh towel while lying poolside in a tropical paradise. That was the vibe I got. The scent notes are officially "coconut, lime, grapefruit, lemon...and effervescence".
Once I melted it, it mellowed wonderfully into a very clean citrus scent with a hint of sweetness. Kind-of like a lime-aid. The laundry smell was gone (which is a bummer because I do like laundry smells) and the sharpness of the citrus medley was softened by the coconut and the comforting smell of the parasoy wax. 7.5 out of 10: would melt again. Even the family didn't hate it.
