'Tis the season again for Polish Pickup! And I have a lovely thermal offering for you from Fair Maiden Polish! If you like apocalyptic day-drinking, shifty yellows, and sunshine...well I think I have found the polish for you.
(promotional samples ahead)
This is a pretty sunshine gold jelly filled with shifting flakes and shimmer. When your fingers are warm you get a bright citron yellow that reminds me of a slightly underripe lemon, especially with the green shift on the flakes and shimmer. When your hands are chilly, you get a soft pumpkin orange that really brings out the orange/gold shift.
Honestly, because my hands are cold most of the time I see the orange. The shift is soft and does a great gradient. All the pictures you see here are an actual manicure. I painted my nails the night before (I use the Cuticula Power Couple) and then took the pictures first thing in the morning. I didn't even drink my coffee first. This is as real as it gets.
The formula is what you expect from a Fair Maiden jelly. It doesn't drag, easily built up, and the flakes all lay smooth and even. Most of the flakes are pretty small, but for some reason I ended up with a few jumbo flakes on my index finger. I don't know if that is normal or an abberation. It wasn't a big deal, though.
I used two normal coats here, followed by a layer of Cuticula Limitless topper.
