I am kicking off this week with more Polish Pickup insanity, so it is only fitting that I start with a searing neon from Fair Maiden. This brilliantly bright green in inspired by lime jelly beans, and fits wonderfully in with the Candy Land theme.
(promotional samples ahead)
This is a glaringly lime green neon jelly filled with iridescent shifting flakes. It is almost the exact shade of a tennis ball, and I am 100% in for that. Of all the neons, I think that the tennis ball yellow-green is the second-most weirdly flattering neon for everyone...second only to neon pink.
The formula was a tiny bit on the thick side for me. I think it was a combination of humidity (coastal springtime FTL) and the insane amount of flakes that are in here. It is literally flakes on flakes on flakes on flakes. I used two normal coats, followed by a layer of Cuticula Limitless Top Coat, for the pictures below and I think that was just right. In normal light I didn't see my nail line, but I do spy a tiny bit under my fancy lights. I have a pretty aggressive VNL, so I think normal humans won't see any lines at all.
If you can only grab one neon this month, I would choose this one. It stands out even in a large neon collection like mine.
