Illyrian Polish Narrow Sea

The next long-unloved shade in my bottomless Untried box is Illyrian Narrow Sea. This was from the March 2018 Polish Pickup (I think). I have had it too long, and I am glad be able to move it to the "tried" pile.

This is a sea-hag teal jelly with holo, flakes, and auroral shifty shimmer. The formula was okay. It was a teeny bit syrupy, which was a surprise that I wasn't prepped for. It did give me a little static during application, and it took a bit longer to set up than I expected. Which is demonstrated by the big-ass dents in my middle finger.  I lovelove the color. It makes me feel like a spoopy mermaid and I am 100% here for that aesthetic. The holo and shimmer was just icing on the kinda-supernaturalish cake.

I used three coats here, and I can still spy a little nail line. The syrupy formula gave me a little issue at first, as you can tell with the patchiness on my ring finger. But I think I figured it out by the time I go to my right hand, and it wasn't super obvious in real life.

You can see the patchiness here on my ring finger the most. It wasn't this noticeable in person...but it did eventually force me to switch polish. The wear was fine, but I couldn't unsee the balding after this picture.

Another one bites the dust! I didn't make as much progress in my untrieds this year as I had hoped, but it still feels like a victory every time I wear something I bought months and months ago!
