Halloween manicures know no season. It is my favorite holiday for a plethora of reasons...but sometimes dark nails get boring even for me. (I know!) So when I was swatching the Cuticula Blush base coat for the Polish Pickup this month, I instantly knew that this pretty pink had some "spoopy" possibilities.
My daughters had some Old Navy jammies back in the day that looked just like this, and these nails are giving me some serious mom-stalgia. They were pink and had a proper skeleton on them and a vibrant, saturated pink...just like these! The bones also glowed in the dark so I only half-assed things this time. Fight me.

I think I did ok here. My middle fingernail is a bit long for the stamp image, and I am only mediocre with stamping anway so there was a bit of a skip when I laid the image down. I was in a bit of a hurry, and not that concerned. This is an actual "both hands done" manicure, and I am a bit less fussy for that stuff. I do wish I had left off the flakes. I used too heavy a hand with the top layer of my sammich, and you can't even see them in person. Oh well, it was a nice idea.
You can actually get the Cuticula Blush base as part of a duo from the Polish Pickup this month, but I grabbed mine from her shop in the Spearmint Eucalyptus scent. It's fresh and clean and I am actually enjoying it. I wish the eucalyptus were stronger, but its still nice.
