Psyche Minerals The First Rose Duo | Indie Pickup January 2019

Psyche Minerals is back in the Indie Pickup again for the Mythology theme! If you ask me...I think she may have stacked the vote in her favor, because this theme was made for her brand. And of course, she had to choose the myth of Psyche and Cupid. I would have been offended if she hadn't!

(promotional samples ahead)

This is a adorable little duo of mini loose mineral eyeshadows. Each one is a blushingly perfect shade for multiple skin tones...just in time for Valentine's day (since Indie Pickup is a pre-order). I think this might be the most wearable PM shades I have seen yet. I was about to say "this year" but I was afraid the collective groan would cause earthquakes or something. I'll save the dad jokes for later.

These are a great rosy, warm neutral to liven up the winter months. I love shades like these, with subtle shimmer, because they are so easy to wear. I love the dark shade, Psyche's Soul smudged into my lashline with a flat liner brush. And the pink, Cupid's Love,  is a healthy all-over-the-lid color on my skintone. It isn't so opaque that people who aren't so fair can't wear it as a "work safe neutral" too.

Without primer, you will get a tiny bit of fallout. I definitely recommend a good eye primer for all loose shadows. But you don't need a white base for these to get the best color payoff. A damp base will give you a boost of color, and applying dry will give you a softer wash...especially from Cupid's Love. I can't wait to get my brows done again so I can take some in-action pictures!

I snapped some pictures with my macro lens-thing. They are a little warmer than reality, but I love the sparklies.

And look! The sun came out for a quick second! It is a holiday miracle. These are probably as color accurate as you can get without holding these in your hand. These are my kind of neutrals.

These will be available on Friday at indiepickup.com as a duo for only $4. If you have never tried this brand before, I highly recommend grabbing this duo. It is a fabulous intro into indie makeup.
