Vapid Lacquer My Little Vapicorn Collection | Part Two: Thermals

More Vapid Lacquer fun today? I can't believe it either, guys! I'm hustling to get some swatches out so you can get those trigger fingers ready. These thermals are pretty impressive...and you might need them.

Vapid Lacquer My Little Vapicorn Collection | Part Two: Thermals

(promotional samples ahead)

Clique | two coats
Ok, so I may not be known for my love of thermals. It's not that I don't like them...but they are just so much more work (blog-wise) than their average sisters. But I occasionally make exceptions and I am never sorry about it. Clique is one of those instances. In its cold state, it reminds me of a super-saturated version of Fantasy Fire. The pigments are larger, but they have a similar red-to-green shift and who doesn't love that?

Once you warm up (I used a hair dryer because it is cold and I don't actually have blood in my hands) it turns into this wonderfully obnoxious cool neon pink. I felt like I could have been an understudy for Jem and the Holograms in this shade. It was truly outrageous.

Fling | two coats
This has a similar shifting pigment to Clique, but in a warm hot pink base instead. This is very much the more "wearable" of the pair. It is just on the other side of the "traditional polish color" fence as to be fairly work appropriate. If you like this color, but love lipstick...Revlon Cherries in the Snow is worth checking out. Just sayin'...

Once you warm this one up (again, hello hair dryer!) it turns into the prettiest, softest faded strawberry shade. Again, totally SFW and would probably pass even the most corporate of tests.

Do you have a favorite? Clique is my favorite, but I don't have to look like an actual adult on a daily basis. If you do, I definitely recommend Fling. These both have the classic, steady, reliable Vapid formula and you really can't go wrong with either shade. I'll have a live shift video later this weekend...and trust me, they're worth watching.

  1. Clique is my favorite here too. I'm not big on thermals myself, but that one is really cool.

  2. I agree...Clique is my favorite too. I tend not to invest in thermals due to the limited transition lifetime and usually only get those that are too gorgeous to pass up. Sweaters n demin comes to mind.
