It's Emily de Molly time, and I am actually not tardy this time! Don't worry, it's not the apocalypse. I'm just plotting for later this spring and trying to get ahead of the game. You guys will see why in May...but for now, let's enjoy these shiny things!
(promotional samples ahead)
Dappled Lilac | two coats
This is a warm lilac or a cool pink, depending on the lighting. It is one of those colors. So ofc I love it. It has sprinkles of glitter under a blanket of holo. The formula is nice and fluid, and definitely in-line with what we expect from EdM.
Sharp Turn | two coats
Holy neon, batman. My photos are not completely accurate because neon. This camera-killer is drenched with a shifting gold shimmer. When I saw this, I was secretly disappointed. I have a couple of neon pink + gold shimmer already...and then I started moving my fingers. The shimmer shifts to an icy blue, which really sets this pink apart. Another thing this has on other neons is how easy and fluid the formula is. I love a good neon that doesn't need undies or four-thousand coats to reach opacity.
Old Flame | two coats
Hello, pumpkin! This holo is filled with golden iridescent flakes and gold shimmer. It is such an unusual color for springtime, and that makes me love it in spite of the orange. The formula is typical EdM: read "practically perfect".
Hanging Garden | two coats
This damned green. Ok, in person...you guys. I love this green. It is that perfect jade green, flecked with iridescent flakes and matte gold glitters...sigh. It would be perfect for St. Paddy's day. However, my camera hates it with a passion. I can not get a good picture of this flawless true green. Just buy it. If you like greens even a little, you will love this one. It is one of my favoites from this month.
Idle Sails | two coats
Ahhh, the classic EdM foil majesty. I love super reflective shades like these. I feel a bit like a mermaid in this polish. It has a medium blue base filled with subtly shifting metallic flakes. The blue tinges towards violet at the edges, though it is very subtle in real life. It is a really dynamic shade. And as a bonus, it didn't stain my nails. I am always glad to find a tealish color that doesn't hate me.
Prismatic Mode | three coats
So I imagine it goes like this: Ms Hayley sits around on her pile of glitter, trying to come up with a new combination. Then theres an earthquake, probably from Godzilla or something, and it all gets mixed up. That is where this periwinklish flakie-bomb came from. The base is softly tinted, and the flakes and holo are crazy-dense...except it doesn't apply like a thick flake monster. I don't understand this level of sorcery. This is another that is close to the top of my favorites list.
Charismatic Puzzles | two coats
Hello vampy multichrome! This vibrant royal shifter is a collection of multichrome flakes awash in a deep, saturated purple base. If you want to dazzle some folks, this would be a good place to start. It is definitely the second most metallic looking shade in this collection. You almost get that chromed look with this shade. Add that little Disney villainess shift...and yeah. This is a good one, too.
A Peacock's Charm | two coats
I am so excite to say something I have never ever said before in the history of forever: I do not have another shade like this one in my whole collection. It is warm olive-gold shifting shimmer, gold holo glitter, and iridescent flakes swarming in a vamped up plum wine base. Never Have I Ever...for sure. And the shift? It is so unexpected and different from what you expect to see with these tones! I love this shade, but I really need to see it one someone of medium or deeper skintone. I feel like this shade would be magic for people in that shade range.
No swatch video of these darlings today, I'm afraid. I still don't have the logistics of swatching a collection this large down pat. Maybe someday...no promises though.
This octuplet of majesty will be available to those of us in the US on the 18th of March at 7pm eastern. Do you have a favorite? I definitely have a couple, regardless of how much trouble those two gave my camera!
