Just when you thought it was safe for your wallet, Polish Pickup strikes again! This time its Baroness X who is doing amazing delightfully smelly things. Instead of polish, Demi made a couple of soon-to-be-classics.

I don't know if I have ever properly reviewed the Acetone Antidotes on the blog. I have been horribly remiss and I apologize. I've been using them exclusively for over a year now, and I consider them indespensible items in my manicure kit. They are delightful little vials of good goop that you add to your acetone to prevent the dreaded white cast and keep your cuticle area from drying out. You can add the whole bottle to an 8oz bottle of acetone, or add a drop or two to a few mililiters of acetone (which is what I do for clean-up). You can even get custom scents if you ask nicely. 

This limited-edition scent, inspired by Finnish Spectrolite,  is described as "...a mix of saltwater scents and a touch of smoke as feldspar is created underground primarily from magma and silica..." And I can't dispute that...but it is nice. I want to say it smells "purple" but I really shouldn't be trusted. I think my brain is being influenced by the color palette. I definitely smell that fresh "saltwatery" scent in there and for me that is dominant. I do have a cold currently, so only the top notes are going to hit me.

Acetone Antidote in Spektroliitista ($4.75)

The wax melt matches the AA flawlessly. They are a perfect pair. Without warming it, it has a nice strong scent, but not cloying. I can smell it over my cold, so that is nice. I can't wait until Christmas gets put away (along with my "Tree" scented wax melts) so I can start back on normal scents again. I am a fan of clean, light scents and I think this one will be perfect for springtime.
