Night Owl Lacquer She Believed She Could, So She Did | Polish Pickup December 2017 | Holidays Around the World
Let's continue with the Polish Pickup extravaganza! Today I have a glamorous thermal shade from Night Owl Lacquer...and I'm telling you guys, this baby is HOT.
(promotional samples ahead)
This is a beautiful thermal jelly filled with holo shards, holo pigment, and large fuchsia shards. In it's cool state (and what it looked like on me 90% of the time) it is a rosy, warm violet. Once you warm it up, it turns into a glowing pink leaning fuchsia. Definitely in the realm of "colors that Nichole buys over and over again".
The inspiration for this beautiful polish is this promo image for Women's Day, which is celebrated 8 March every year. It is an organization that brings attention to Women's issues and has it's roots in the early 20th century Suffragette movement.
The formula is typical of a jelly, and it applies nice and opaque in three light coats. I finished it off with a layer of Seche Vite. I was worried about those "holo sparks" because they have a bit of a nasty reputation for being scratchy. But even before the topper, they were actually pretty flat and smooth. It took a week before I could even see a disturbance in the surface of my nails. Hooray for that.
Once I applied it, and my SV cured up, I commenced to sticking my hands in hot water. It took a little while to warm my fingers up, and you can see the shift back to violet around the edges of my nail. Late Fall is such a strange time here, guys. It goes from 70F to 50F in the blink of an eye.
The shop opens up on Friday and runs all weekend. I can't wait to get my hands on some of these beauties! Will you be shopping?
