It has been far too long since Baroness X was a regular on this blog. I feel like I have been saving up all of my single swatches and Monthly Mythical Mysteries for a rainy day. But since this is California, that rainy day may never come...so lets enjoy the sparkles!
(promotional samples ahead)
Head Over Heels
This sexy shade is a blood-red almost jelly filled with shifting shimmer. It is definitely good for a softer vamp look. It applies nice and easy, and I used three coats plus a layer of Seche Vite for the pictures below.
This oceany teal shimmer is from a Merlady collaboration box that Baroness X participated in a while back. The box was pretty spectacular all around, and this sparkling metallic holo is the
fishes bee's knees. It behaved like a cream, and it was opaque in two coats and I wish it could make a comeback.
This was an MMM shade, so sorry for the spoiler...from March 2017. This is a creme de menthe holo with a shifting, shimmering back. It is like a seafoam pearl on your nails. When the vote comes around again, you might want to choose this one to make a comeback. It was opaque and happy in just two coats, and I layered on a coat of Seche Vite to give it a nice gloss.
Another MMM here, I believe. Though I could be wrong. My post-move organization leaves something to be desired. It is a soft gunmetal holo with a pink glow that shifts to green all under a holo twinkle. It is on the sheerer side, which is good because when layered to opacity it has a lovely "lit from within" glow. I needed three thin coats plus a layer of Seche Vite for these pictures.
Sierra de la Plata
This is one of the best non-holo pinks I have seen this year. It is a cool, creamy pink filled with silver sparks. It is so opaque that I bet a more careful hand could make this a one coater. I do not have a careful hand, and I had to use two coats plus a layer of Seche Vite for these pictures.
Oracle II over China Glaze Liquid Leather
Multichromes. So hot right now. But this is a revamp of an OG multichrome microglitter topper. I layered it over black, and it just sings. The addition of the occasional holo sparkle really sets it apart. In the past few years, Demi has really nailed down glitter topper formulation, and this sucker dried smooth and happy. I used two coats over black here, and followed it up with a layer of Seche Vite.
