Night Owl Lacquer Collapsed Star • Polish Pickup May 2017 • Science

The Polish Pickup is back again! And this time, it is one of my favorite themes ever: Science! It was practically made for me. It is definitely hard to choose which shades I want to take home...thankfully I was lucky enough to swatch this one so I don't have to worry about choosing between it and something else. Night Owl Lacquer picked something right out my own mind with "Collapsed Star" this month. It is nothing short of amazing.

Collapsed Star is a beautiful cross-section of deep space stuffed into a tiny cube. It has an inky black base and every green and blue glittering thing you can imagine. Tiny green and blue holo hexes twinkle here and there like distant stars behind nebulae and lurking giants. You guys know how I feel about space. This one speaks to my soul

The formula was pretty sweet too. As dense as the glitters and flakes were, I was worried that this shade was going to be a beast to apply. I was so wrong. It smoothed out easily and leveled itself. I used two average coats here plus a layer of Seche Vite, and I was a happy camper.

I am loving the Polish Pickup so far. It is really awesome to see what different brands can come up with when given a simple starting point. This month, especially, because "science" can go in pretty much every direction. Some brands, like Night Owl Lacquer, went spacey, while others went all chemical and science.
