Octopus Party Nail Lacquer | A Game of Thrones Inspired Collection

Octopus Party Nail Lacquer is pretty good at catering to the fangirls. He knows all the right words to use and the colors to choose to make us all raving lunatics. This collection is definitely no different. I might be biased though, since it draws inspiration from one of my favorite book/tv series.

I Drink and I Know Things
This is a cool toned foresty multichrome dusted with fresh copper colored flakes. The amount of pigment in this one make it apply a bit like a metallic, and you will see brush strokes if you over-stroke (giggity) this shade. It reminds me of a beetle carapace a bit, and I can definitely see some nature-inspired art coming along someday with this sucker.  It applied easily with a quick hand, and I used two coats plus a layer of Seche Vite for all the pictures here.

Stoneheart
I won't tell you where the name for this shade came from. If you don't know, I won't ruin the game. The color is magic though. It is a bloody duochrome that shifts from warm firey red to cool fuchsia. It reminds me of  Rhaegar's rubies, and I definitely dig that. The formula was quite full and rich, and I used two coats plus a layer of Seche Vite for the pictures here.

Sweet Summer Child
This inky shifting multichrome dances from warm, ruddy purple to a cool soft navy while occasionally flashing a brilliant fuchsia face. There are tiny little iridescent flakes swimming around that catch the light at all angles. The formula is easy and forgiving, and I used two coats plus a layer of Seche Vite for the pictures below.

  1. These are so pretty (like holy sh*t Sweet Summer Child) but they don't at all remind me of GoT. I love the polish but the inspiration kind of lost me. That said, I would still wear them happily.
