Connie of Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer recently had a birthday! And somehow, in this bizzaro world she gave us the gifts. I'm not sure how that works out, but I sure wasn't complaining. She released a limited edition birthday trio back in March, and I am glad to share these now that I am back to "work".
(promotional samples ahead)
Pretty Bitch
This is a vibrant, candy pink holo with electric fuchsia flakes. It has a definitely jelly-like formula, and the flakes glow from below. The formula was a little on the thick side*, but a couple of drops of thinner made things right as rain. I ended up using two medium coats plus a layer of 77NL's new topper ShowsTopper.
*Connie informs me that she has thinned the remaining batch of this shade, and it applies much more agreeably.

Four Oh!
This is a super duper dense glitter polish with a softly violet base. This one was just a tiny bit thick*, as glitters this dense tend to be, and I used two spare coats plus a layer of ShowsTopper for the pictures below.
*This one has also been slightly thinned since my review
Sexy Bitch
This one is a cool, lush wine holo with a flashy warm underbelly. Sadly, as much as I like this color...the formula was incredibly difficult to manage, even with thinner.* When I approached the Birthday Girl (which I was loathe to do...because birthday) she was pretty dismayed. Apparently her base supplier had been playing fast and loose with her for a while now, and this polish was the squaw that stroked the camel's sack. This base will never again ruin such a picture perfect polish.
*after our chat, Connie went back and tinkered with this formula and says that it is much easier to apply. If that is the case, I definitely think this one is worth checking out.
The iffy base notwithstanding, this is a stunning trio. The color palette encompasses everything I love about the brand: pinks, reds, and glitters. And while you can't get these babies anymore, you can always come hang out in the fan group. We always get the heads up on sales and releases over there!
Connie had a few hold-backs of this trio. She addressed the problems I had and has released the "over pours"! I would definitely pop over to the shop and see whats left.
