Vapid Lacquer Trees & Sky

When I first saw this Vapid Lacquer shade, I was immediately reminded of how much it reminded me of the nighttime sky when I would go camping in the Sierra Nevada mountains as a kid. And, since I am trying to do more arty things, I decided to bring that feeling to my fingers.

black acrylic paint

I used my black acrylic paint to create the simple silhouette of the pine trees that are common to the Sierras, then used my white to sprinkle a few larger "stars" here and there. For my index and pinky, I mixed the white with my topper and with Distressed to give a Milky Way vibe. I am beyond thrilled with how it turned out.

It almost makes me want to go camping again. Almost...I am more of a "glamper" now. I want running water, a squishy bed, and no bugs. I think I'll keep nature on the other side of the window...and maybe on my fingers.
