Literary Lacquers does metallic holos like nobody's business. They are beautiful and timeless, and when she decides to do something charitable...well that is just the glittery icing on the sparkly cupcake.
(promotional samples ahead)
The Needle's Bite is a metallic pewter holo filled with platinum colored flakes. If you wanted to make a statement, this is the shade to do it with. It flashes brilliantly and catches light at every angle. The formula is so smooth and easy, which is tricky to achieve with the amount of crazy going on here. I used two coats plus a layer of Seche Vite for these pictures.
Not only is this a stunning nail polish, but it is actually pretty with a purpose. Five dollars of each sale will be going to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Amy partnered with Alex and Eli Bacon-Leslie to create this shade which was inspired by Eli's life-long struggle with Type 1 diabetes and by his love of the "Newsflesh" series written by Mira Grant.
I can definitely sympathize here. During my last occupation pregnancy, I developed Gestational Diabetes. I was exceedingly lucky that I didn't need to do injections, as I was able to control my blood sugar with a strict diet. But I did require blood monitoring four times a day. My hate for this disease knows no bounds, and I can't imagine living with this disease for my whole life. I would love to see a cure in my children's lifetime.
This shade is still available in the Literary Lacquers shop. A pretty color and a great cause...what more could you hope for?
