If you don't know about Baroness X Monthly Mythical Mysteries yet, you must have been living under a rock. I try to keep the spoilers to a minimum around here, but I think it is time to share.

Narcissus • July 2016

This is a silvery linear holo filled with holo glitter and iridescent blue flakes. It is definitely reminiscent of a mirror...which is perfect thing for Narcissus. The formula was smooth and slightly sheer, which is what you want in a luminous holo like this. I used three coats plus Seche Vite for these pictures here.

Mermaid Silk • August 2016

This is the pearly blue holo that you have been dreaming of all these years. It has this weird underglow about it...feels like looking into a hyper-real ocean. And the pink flakes twinkle softly when you turn your fingers. I have a pretty narrow window for blues, and this is definitely right up my alley. The formula is nice, and I used three whisper thin coats plus a layer of Seche Vite for these pictures.

How about a little fire on your fingers? This is a poppy red holo with gold flakes and gold shimmer. I was fully prepared not to like this one, yall. I do not have the best luck with warm reds like this. We tend to bring the worst out in each other. But this shade...I really really like. It is just warm enough that I can latch on to the ever-recurring summer trend of orange without looking gross and green. I will definitely be breaking this sucker back out next year. The formula is good and creamy, and I only needed two coats plus Seche Vite for these pictures.
