Vapid Lacquer | Dirty Holos, Shimmers, Flakes...Oh My!

Vapid Lacquer always does things big. The holos are loud and shining, the neutrals are jaw dropping, and the shimmers are simmering. And when Vapid gets dirty...well...we all enjoy that, don't we? If any of these ideas appeal to you, keep on reading. This coming weekend-restock is for you.

Vapid Lacquer | Dirty Holos, Shimmers, Flakes...Oh My!

 (promotional samples ahead)

Smoke Screen
This is a new shade, so why not start here? This is a burning red shifting shimmer swimming in a smoky gray not-quite-creamy base. A gentle dusting of gold flakes gives this a very "sunset through the smoke" feeling to me...but I have been living in Wildfire Land this summer/fall, so I might be biased. The formula is so delightfully smooth, and it was opaque and perfect in two coats. I added a layer of Seche Vite here because glossy is awesome, but I would love to see this with a matte topper too.

Blackened Amethyst
I think this is new too, but I have lost my notes (packing is hard, yall) This is a scrumptious mulberry super linear holo with a warm, almost metallic underbelly. It is glowy and goodness and all that is right with Fall. The formula is spectacular, and it could have been a one-coater if I tried. I used two thin coats here, followed by a layer of Seche Vite.

I Spike My Coffee
Are you looking for the perfect neutral Café au Lait kind of color, but don't want a cream? Are you warm-toned medium to deep skin toned? Congratulations. I have found your perfect neutral. Hell, for some of you, this might be your fabled "Mannequin Hands" shade. For the pasty of us, it is just a beautiful warmish pale toffee filled with pink and gold microflakes. What a way to wear your Vapid at the office. The formula is smooth and light, and I used two normal coats plus a layer of Seche Vite here.

Catch Me if You Can
Are you ready for the fury that is a Dirty Holo? Vapid took the crazy-brilliant linear holos and added holo sparks. Because why not, right? This shade is a warm, hyper-saturated teal that is overflowing with holo. It is practically a one-coater, but I used two coats plus a layer of Seche Vite for these pictures here.

Chick Fight
There is none more black. None. This inky, creamy, sparkling little liquid galaxy is just everything. All in a bottle. I love a good black. I am picky about black holos...but this one is good, yall. I am fresh out of words for this one. I KNOW. This is another nearly one-coater, but I did use two here plus Seche Vite.

Because I had no sun while swatching, you can't appreciate how stunning these are in natural daylight. But while organizing my post, the sun popped out (because of course) and I took the bottles for a spin. Plus...I tried my hand at live swatching. Lemme know how I did!

This weekends restock is going to be pretty awesome. If you want all the details, I would join the Vapicorns on Facebook. All the information/spoilers/sneaky peeks are always posted there.

Restock will be October 29th, 2016 at 1pm Central Time

10-29-16 1:00 pm San Antonio, Texas Time
