What is better than a Great Lakes Lacquer/Literary Lacquers duo? Oh, I don't know...how about a quartet? That's right, I said quartet! Come with me, and feast your eyes on these beauties.
(promotional samples ahead)
This collection was inspired by The Stand, a novel by Stephen King. If you haven't read it yet, I definitely recommend grabbing it. It is one of his better books. Not too wordy, not too weird...just right.
M-O-O-N, That Spells Purple
This vividly violet super-duper holo is...just perfect. The flame is crazy-strong, and the purple is delicious. There are some shifty bits in there that are nigh-on impossible to catch, but give the shade a inner glow that sets it apart from most violets in my hoard. I used just two coats plus Seche Vite for this shade. This shade was inspired by Tom, the hero with the big heart.
My Life For You
Holy glitterbomb, Batman! This is just every shade you ever thought of, all swirling in a pale gray base. It is the perfect lavender-leaning glitterbomb that you can probably wear to work without causing any waves. I used three coats here, but honestly I think two was just fine. I didn't see a huge change from coat two to three. This shade was inspired by the Trash Can Man...and it is spot-on.
Mayhaps You Is
This is a blushing rose-gold super-linear-holo. It is the perfect complement to M-O-O-N, if you were looking to do some nail art. It is also that feminine, soft, glowy SFW pink that you have been waiting your whole life for...but I am biased. The formula was so smooth and foily and opaque in just two coats. This shade was inspired by Mother Abigail.
The Eye, The Key
This glowing charcoal linear holo is filled with glowing red glitters. The glitters definitely give it an eerie feeling...like your manicure is looking at you from the dark. I, for one, really enjoy that. The formula is really great, though the glitters do rise a bit to the top as it dries. That bothers me not-at-all and I was happy with the two coats of color + one layer of Seche Vite combo I have on here...but a "Gelous sammich" would put this into the stratosphere. The color was inspired by Randall Flagg. (He's a baddie)
I made an easy-peasy picture for you to save, so you won't forget to mark your calendars! This quartet is available in the Great Lakes Lacquer shop, and you can combine orders from there...but they won't ship until the box ships. The price is $40 including shipping...which is amazing. That evens out to less than $10 a shade!
slideshow of doom!
