I am a huge Project Runway fan. I have watched it from the beginning, and always have my favorite designers picked from pretty much the first few episodes. Last season, my early pick to win actually won! And then she put out a collaboration with Fingerpaints. So yeah, it was kind-of a big deal.
Before we start, let us take a peek at this designer. Once you see her, every shade in the collection suddenly makes sense. And if you watched the final runway, you would probably agree that this was the perfect polish interpretation of that show. I know, I know...fangirling. But I am stoked when someone who does different things actually wins that show. I hope she does something with it now.

As for the shade I grabbed (my local Sally's only had two. I haven't tried that other shade yet)...it is a pretty putty pink. In fact, it is a frighteningly exact dupe of the Lush Rosy Cheeks face mask I posted about a few weeks ago. Which also means that it matches calamine lotion too. Yeaaaaaah. I still like it, but it definitely isn't for everyone.
For these pictures, I used two medium coats and a layer of Seche Vite. Nothing fancy nor remarkable. Just like the shade.

If you are curious about the other shades, Sally's still shows them available online. I dunno that I recommend them exactly...indies have spoiled me totally rotten, and it takes a lot for a mainstream to really flip my skirt. But I'm a Project Runway fangirl, so I had to have them.
Are you counting down to the next season too?

That polish looks gorgeous on you!
ReplyDeleteI used to watch Project Runway, but haven't in a loooong time! I love that they collab with a polish brand though!
ReplyDeleteThat polish is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteShe was my favorite, too! I was so annoyed when haters were all 'oh, she only won because they wanted someone with a plus-sized collection to win'. BULL. She's an amazing designer, that's why she won. PLUS, she made plus-sized look good. That's like the old Ginger Rogers saying--she had to do what the others did, only backwards and in heels. :)
ReplyDeleteThat color is so pretty! I need it in my life.
ReplyDeleteI may loose some cool points with you here, but I've never seen this show, as we don't have cable :( It sounds like the kind of show I would love, though. And this is a nice, neutral color - would be great for bases for art and the likes.
ReplyDeleteI think I watched 1 episode but this color is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh - that pink is absolutely gorgeous. She's one of my favorite designers, I love a plus sized gal with flare.
ReplyDeleteI love this kind of fleshy pink. It's suitable for work without being plain old beige.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I love a good neutral-yet-interesting creme, so this is right up my alley!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous neutral!!!! Loving it!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG this collab is amazing!
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful shade, would make a great base for nail art!
ReplyDeleteThis is pretty much my perfect nude pink shade
ReplyDeleteVery pretty pink, it look great on you and it's a great mature shade (if that makes sense...haha).
ReplyDeleteGorgeous swatch!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a pretty great work-safe shade!
