I am fast becoming a proper Vapid Lacquer fangirl. The hilarious fact that the very first shade I brought home has yet to appear on the blog has not gone unnoticed by me...don't worry. SOON. Until then, let me pay penance by sharing these ethereal holos. Once you see them, I'm sure you'll forgive me.
(promotional samples ahead)
Dragon Tears
This soft holo is full of guavalicious corally goodness with a gold shimmering belly. There was the tiniest hint of brush strokes, so if you check out my ring finger here you'll see what it looks like when you sponge on that last coat. In my professional opinion you don't really need it. It is a different look, but the strokes are so faintly noticeable that I didn't bother with any of the others from this collection. Oh, and by the by...this is what it looks like in one coat. Yep. One.
Happily Ever After
This is my kind-of color. Like Danaerys-level silvery lilac blush pink with the softest blue whisper all resting on a metallic cloud. Yeah...I'm totally objective when it comes to this color, I promise. But when it comes to these soft, ethereal shades...I could wax poetic for hours. This was two coats plus a layer of Seche Vite. And angel wings, because there is no other logical explanation.
Happy Nessie
This is the deepest, softest, possibly most universal shade in this collection. It is a lovely blue-violet holo with a pronounced teal shine. It is what I imagine Maleficent would wear for a spring party...if she partook in those things...which she doesn't because she is the Mistress of All Evil. I used two coats plus SV for these photos.
Once Upon a Time
Ok so maybe I am taking this "Fantasy" thing a bit too far, but this shade gives me a very Highgarden-from-Game-of-Thrones vibe. This is a cool rosy pink holo with a gold metallic flash. This is gloriously sfw: pink and girly and soft, but positively dazzling. The formula was typically Vapid, and again I only used two coats plus SV for these photos.
Unicorn Blood
How could a fantastical collection be complete without a unicorn? And this is just a perfect incarnation. Pale metallic lavender with that signature gold shift...sigh. This shade should be in every collection. This went on like silk on air, and I used just two coats plus SV here.
Oh, and did I mention that I have an obsession with slideshows? Because I have an obsession with slideshows. They are so fun! Check out my most recent offering!
So what is your favorite shade here? Are you drawn to those pale lilacs like I am?
These give me such bad grabby hands. I may have to see how much cash back I have saved up on the credit card. Or how generous the boyfriend is feeling.
