OPI Clear top coat
Holy shit guys! I think it worked. And it was actually not that bad at all to do! Though I think I need to break out a more opaque black polish for stamping from now on...

I admit, I am not a direction-following sort of chick. I'm just not. This very often leads me to a bad end, but sometimes it works in my favor. This is definitely one of the surprise-successes. Basically, I painted a little spot of clear (a random half-filled bottle of OPI top coat that I generally use for my swatch sticks) and then began stamping and painting. Everything really went better than expected...It isn't perfect, but I think it looks pretty great. It has definitely made me want to decal all the things.
If you are not a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants asshole like I am, my pal Courtney of Polished Lifting has a really simple and easy tutorial for making your own decals. It seems complex, but holy cow does she make it look simple.
So go, check out the easy step-by-step from Courtney and make yourself some badass decals. Then report back. I'll be here...drawing miniature pictures on silicone.
This is seriously stunning and I love the colors!
ReplyDeleteYour hand made decals look fantastic! I am in awe. Fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants-asshole. I love that. Describes me pretty well. lol I need to learn how to make decals. I have enough polish, stamping junk... It's all just sitting around.
ReplyDeletethis looks so cool!! Love the colors!
ReplyDeleteThis is so fun! I have only tried decals once, and I had a hard time transferring them to the nail, but it looks like yours are perfect!
ReplyDeleteIt worked indeed! I love this mani! I wished I were luckier with decals myself, but I just can't seem to stick them to my nails smooth enough.
