Lemming Lacquer has really nailed this newest collection. Are we still doing phrasing? I am a huge fan of the TV show Archer and I am superduper excited to share the first part of this new collection.
(promotional samples ahead)
Babytown Frolic (over Holy Shit Snacks! and WnW Breeze on By)
This is a blend of light blue, turquoise, pink and purple glitters in all sorts of sizes, finishes and shapes. It is deliciously chaotic and fun. The palette and name were inspired by Lana's baby shower. The formula is great and I didn't have to fuss with sponging or dabbing to get the coverage shown below...and honestly, who has time for that? I used on normally applied coat over both colors and a layer of Seche Vite.
Bloody Mary, Full of Vodka
This is a bright, tomato red linear holo with a glowing gold underbelly. If anything else is so obviously true to the inspiration, I dare you to find it. If you aren't a show watcher, this was inspired by Archer's favorite morning drink because if he stopped drinking the cumulative hangover will literally kill him. The formula is squishy and delicious, and I used two coats plus Seche Vite for the photos below.
Fort Kickass
This delicious sour-apple, slightly radioactive green linear holo is such a summery fun color. I am usually not the biggest fan of greens against my skin, but there is something about this one that is actually flattering with my super-cool tone. (yay) The formula is squishy and full, and I used two coats plus Seche Vite for the photos below.
Holy Shit Snacks!
Is this not the most Pam color ever? Human Resources could never object to such a lush peachy melon cream. It would be just the thing to match an office appropriate cardigan. This cream does not approve of latex based peely basecoats, fyi. But it behaved nicely over my Powder Perfect base and if you use a matte basecoat, you might even be able to make this sucker a one-coater. For these pictures though, I used two medium coats plus a layer of Seche Vite.
Just Like the Gypsy Woman Said
This color...for summer...just unff. I love the darker stuff for warmer weather. This inky violet-wine jelly is flush with copper and red holo glitter swirling around shifting bronzed flakes. It glows like it was lit from within, y'all. Because this is a jelly, I think medium coats are best to get that full, plush effect. I used just two coats plus Seche Vite here and I was happy. I would love to try this as a topper over a color like Orly Plum Noir...I bet it would take it straight into vampzilla territory for sure.
Phrasing!
This cheeky color is an oversaturated cornflower blue linear holo that was inspired by one of the title cards from the show. If you are a blurple lover, but are looking for something fresh and new...then this is for you. It is a full, easy formula and I only needed two normal coats plus Seche Vite for these pictures.
You're Not My Supervisor!
Full disclosure, I was totally prepared not to love this shade. Brown shades are so finicky on me, and I hate about half of the ones I have tried...especially the ones that stray from the espresso range. But this Carol/Cheryl inspired warm chocolatey holo has won me over. Even Cherlene would sing a subdued outlaw-country song about the scattered icy blue flakes in here. This has just the right amount of rosyness that I think it would make a crazy-fantastic neutral for people of medium-to-deep skintones. The formula is great, too. I used just two normal coats plus a layer of Seche Vite here.
Danger Zone!
This sucker is a bright, lively pumpkin orange linear holo. I love it. I promise you will see this shade again come Fall. The formula is smooth and delightful...and might possibly be more idiot-friendly than the rest of this collection if you, say, brush your wet nails against a cat before taking pictures. Because it and Seche Vite leveled pretty much right back out afterwards. (don't worry, the cat is still 100% polish free) I used two normal coats here, and this one really makes me lament the lack of sunshine. The flame is intense, kids.
Of course, I had to make a slideshow for this one.
This collection will be available Friday, June 17, at 7pm Central time in the Lemming Lacquer Shop. I don't know if I have a favorite yet...those holos are pretty stunning. But the glitter topper is such a multitasker that I kinda need that one around always. And the jelly with those bronzed flakes? GTFO. Which ones are your favorites?
Did you hear that happy scream from the west? Yep, that was me. Huge Archer fan here too and I need all of these! :-) Excellent job with this review.
