Having chronic health problems sucks. I completely understand the grind of constant testing, medications, etc and how it can feel like the heaviest bag of groceries you've ever seen. Miss Rose of Manicured & Marvelous has been having a bit of a time lately with that particular bag, and Jessica of Be Happy and Buy Polished (our patron saint of polished sweethearts) decided to rally some folks together and recreate their favorite M&M mani! I am a little behind, but here is mine!
I fell in love with this manicure from the Halloween season. It was gloriously spooky without smacking you over the head with holiday spirit. I vowed to find a bat-stamping plate and re-create it...someday.

I think I did all right. My bats are smaller, and my color is darker...but I kinda don't hate it. I think I might still need those sheer tints. You know, for science. It definitely isn't as flawless as Miss Rose's...but then what is?
Rose is just a lovely young lady. If you haven't checked out her blog, you are missing out. Her nails are lovely, she actually writes words about polish instead of crazy rants like me, and she is all-around a nice kid. Go take a visit over there and give her a high-five. We all need the recognition once in a while, and she absolutely deserves it.
I NEED to try a pond mani. They give me life. And Rose is one of the most awesome people in nail land!

ReplyDeleteSo cool that you were able to recreate this one! I love the way it came out, the perfect balance between beauty and spooky <3
I loooooooooooove this and have yet to do a pond mani but you make me wanna go try one right quick!!!
ReplyDeleteWow this turned out great!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome tribute
ReplyDeleteTurned out great. I know the battle with health problems all too well. I'm mostly housebound atm with Lyme disease and get sicker by the day as the aus government doesn't allow treatment for it. I have people doing green #lymeawarenessnails in May to help spread the word about the horrible disease :)
ReplyDeleteI love your mani! I think it came out absolutely perfect, and I love how you've all come together to support Rose. You, my friend, are good people. <3
ReplyDeleteThis turned out perfectly!! I love that you all did this for her.
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much for doing these. I know I already told you all the mushy stuff on IG, but I hearts you lady!
ReplyDeleteThis is the most fabulous thing ever!
ReplyDeleteI perfectly remember that mani from Rose, I totally fell in love with it, too! Your recreation is somewhat gothic, with it being darker, which is totally cool for Halloween!
ReplyDeleteYour recreation is great! I also read Rose's blog and her manis are definitely marvellous!
ReplyDeleteThis is seriously amazing!!!
