Baroness X Sugared Baubles

I'm a Baroness X groupie. I admit it. The fact that I get to test her products is just...the bee's knees. This newest product of hers, the Sugared Baubles, is definitely one of her best. Good smells, good oils, and a portable shape...what could be better?

These wee baubles (aptly named by the fan group, by the way) are great for hands and feet, as a part of any manicure or pedicure. I like to use them after a long day of swatching. The butters and oils re-hydrate and moisturize my acetone soaked fingers, and the sugars scrub away all the little bits of pesky glitters. The balance of butters and oils is pretty spot on, and my hands need minimal lotioning afterwards.

The larger orbs, measuring at over an inch (1.25" give or take) are the perfect size for full-body scrubs. The smaller ones are just under an inch, and a single one is more than adequate for a manicure or pedicure.

To use these delightful little gems, you just get them wet and smoosh them. They will lather lightly as you scrub. For the big ones, I would say to break off a chunk and do the same. Though I think these would be a great size for your whole body.

I tested out the Wine & Roses scent, shown here, and I was pretty pleased. I am rather sensitive to scents on my skin, so anything strong or cloying gets a big frowny-face from me. This rosy scent, which was quite strong in the bauble, was soft and light on my skin. It lasted a few hours but never forced me to wash my hands again to cover the smell. That gets my stamp of approval.

The ingredients will vary a bit from scent to scent, but the Wine & Roses sent has:

sugar, shea butter, sodium cocoate, propelyne glycol, sodium stearate, glycerin, water, sorbitol, mango butter, cocoa butter, sweet almond oil, fragrance oils, colorant

And the good news is that these are, in fact, vegan! Hooray for that. I personally am not that invested in vegan beauty products, but I know a lot of people are, and it is always fun to find options that can work for vegans without sacrificing the quality.

Do not eat. They look yummy. They are not.

Don't ask.

These baubles will not only cleanse and moisturize, but also make lovely gifts and decorations. I wanted to set some out on my counter tops...but some sneaky sneak made off with them immediately afterwards. Brats.

Are you fond of sugar scrubs but hate the mess that generally accompanies them? I suggest you check these out. Portable, sweetly scented, and such a bargain.
