Vapid Lacquers Valentine's Trio

Are you looking to make this romantic holiday a Vapid Valentine's Day? Well, I can promise you that at the end of this post, you will definitely be considering it. There is a shade in this trio for whatever sort of evening you might be planning.

Resting Bitch Face
Oh man, do you want a perfect red? How about this sucker. It is the most flawless indie red I have tried in a long time. Not too warm, not too cool...juuuuust right. I love the cream-but-not-chalky formula of this shade. It flows on smooth and plush, and it would probably be opaque in one coat if I wasn't taking pictures under bright lights. I used two coats here plus a layer of Seche Vite.

Like a Virgin
In stark contrast to the sexed up red we now have this serene white sparkler. It has a soft shimmer and the lightest whisper of holo...I promise. It is just so hard to see in photos. In real life, there is a faint twinkle as you move your hand around. This polish has a jelly-like depth when layered, and I used three coats plus a layer of SV for the photos below.

I Don't Feel the Spark
Finally, a shimmering shade for those of us planning a femme fetale sort of evening.  This warm, ruddy wine shade is filled with glimmering copper flakes. It applied like inky velvet and I only used two thin coats plus SV for the photos below.

And like any good femme fetale, this mysterious gem has a secret: it's a thermal.

In it's warm state it is a soft, rich wine. I know, these aren't the best pictures...but I have cold hands! I had to soak my hands in hot water just to get it to shift on me.

And of course, I had to seriotype it. How could I not? Because really, who among us is 100% anything? Everyone (who is worth knowing) is a little bit siren, a little bit saint, and a little bit vamp...at least once a year.

These came available on January 29th. I imagine that they are likely sold out because Vapid is having a serious moment right now (and rightly so). But I would scamper over and see what else in the shop, because you just can't go wrong with anything from this brand.

  2. Oh, yes! I tried so hard to get this on launch day. I failed miserably, but I'm crossing fingers I can pick up at least the thermal during the restock. I love the seriotype mani! Get it, girl!
