Awwwww yeah. Vintage Polish, baby. I let this slide in December, because omfgchristmas was just too much and my brain melted a bit. But 2016 is a new year, and it's time for all things to resume!
This polish has definitely thinned a bit, as some shades do as they age. But it wasn't unusable and it was still beautiful. I ended up using three thin coats brushed on normally here, and then followed it with a sponged on coat to bring out that shimmer. I regret nothing. It is ghostly and ethereal and perfect.
This is a shade that I didn't own during its original run, though I did have a bunch from this line. Looking back now, I wish I had grabbed this because it would have matched my wedding dress nicely. Yes, I wore a purple dress. 1999 was a weird time.
I love how soft and smoky this shade is, and I definitely notice that I have collected quite a few indie shades that would match nicely here. I don't have a problem. Nope, not me.
Well, maybe one problem. I need more vintage!
That closeup is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis shade is awesome! You don't really see much like it from mainstream brands now, but thankfully we have the indies to give us our fix!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Love the new background too!
ReplyDeleteI just tossed one similar to this a couple months ago! Same brand and bottle look but it was a bit more silver. I loved the color but it sat for too long and wasn't closed properly I think cuz it was dried and thick :(
ReplyDeleteThe soft and smoky touch is definitely gorgeous
ReplyDeletePretty color!
ReplyDeleteI wore a turquoise wedding dress in 1996 lol. Everyone kept trying to talk me into white (which I look horrible in). I still have it somewhere
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful shade!
ReplyDeleteI usually don't care about vintage, but this is a gem!
ReplyDeleteI really like your vintage series! This is lovely
