Lynnderella Vampy Velvet

So...I drank the kool-aid. I did. I bought a Lynnderella. Well, sort of. I split a duo with a dear friend. The hipster in me is wholly offended, but the addict has beaten that hipster into submission...which is good, because this is a lovely shade!

This shade reminded me of that purple that I had as a teenager, and I needed to own it. When someone I actually knew posted in a group, asking if anyone wanted to split the duo I figured it was a sign from the polish gods. She kept a pale microglitter, and I brought home this lovely purple pearl.

The formula was decent, though I admit the brush was a bit stiff and narrow. Some folks love that though. It didn't flood, or streak, or misbehave at all...so I give it a B+/A- in that department. I only needed two coats for these pictures, and I was ready to rock. I wish I had a good matte topper, because I think this would be pretty awesome mattified.

I feel like I have hit a milestone. I almost posted an "achievement unlocked" picture...and I still might. I imagine that this brand was probably the shit-and-a-half back when the ball first started rolling, but nowadays there are just so many brands that I don't think my budget will allow me to spend this kind of money on the regular. Maybe just the occasional treat...once a year, or quarter...or month?

  1. I know the feeling! I had a similar experience recently, when I bought my first polishes from Enchanted Polish :)
And on Vampy Velvet: that's a lovely purple!

    1. my friend gifted me an Enchanted, and I'm afraid to use it! What if I looooove it? That is a serious financial commitment!

    2. True! I love the ones that I got, but I don't see myself buying more, because they're so pricy, plus the shipping to Europe isn't exactly cheap either.

  3. Oh Lynnderella. In all my thousands of bottles I own not one, nor have I ever seen one in person. If she started to do more finishes I like, I'm doomed, but so far I am safe. It felt like the end of the world when she first did a shimmer, rather than glitter.

    1. yeah, I think I'm in the same boat. Glitters don't really flip my skirt up, but this purple spoke to me.
