40 Great Nail Art Ideas: Pale Blue Base + Needle Drag

It's time for another challenge! I have been taking a small break from these, as I have been swatching and sorting through my untried polishes. But I knew that if I didn't pick it back up, I never would So I tried to combine my untried drawer with this prompt...with disastrous results.

It has been quite a while since I have done something I hated so much. Honestly! It doesn't look bad, exactly...but I do not have a light touch. That makes dragging polish "tricky" to say the least. I tried to do the dotting method, but I gave up after three tries. To top it all off, I smudged my pinky on the way to take the damned picture....grrrr. This was not my prompt, to say the least. Next time will be better. It can't not be.

Once you are done laughing at my misery, check out some non-failures from some other great artists!

  1. Not laughing! I actually like how it turned out. But I'm weird, so what do I know?

  2. Well, I like the colors together and I don't think it looks that bad! I'm not very fond of the needle drag look anyway, so I'm not much help. Blerg.

  5. Yeah, I'm just going to go ahead and agree with you. Needle drag isn't very fun to look at. Though, the colours for a dotticure would have been killer.

  7. That's a shame you had issues with this nail art. But if you hadn't mentioned that I would have never told. The final look is so perfect!
