Carpe Noctem Cosmetics and Octopus Party Nail Lacquer are two brands with very different styles. I admit to being curious when I heard they were doing a winter/new year duo. And let me tell you guys, it was fabulous.
(promotional samples ahead)
Fireside Songs
So when Emily decides to go all out, apparently she means all out...everywhere. (You guys will see what I mean soon enough). This shade is like a Dr Pepper can went supernova on your fingertips. There is a strong linear holo beside holo glitter and I swear I see holo flakes in there. It also has a lightly metallic underbelly that seems to shift from violet to copper. I used two thin coats + SV for these pictures.
Steel Wolf
Steel Wolf is the shade of wet cement...if wet cement had tiny flecks, a strong holo, and a faint coppery-blush flash at extreme angles. It applies like we all expect an OPNL to at this point, and I only used two coats + SV for these pictures.
And to finish it (and keep with my pattern thus far) I did a little art! Nothing too serious, just a bit of stamping with a plate from LadyQueen that I am reviewing. The CNC stamps fairly well, but the OPNL just isn't strong enough to overcome the holobomb. I bet it would work well enough over a cream.
Sadly, this duo is now sold out. I posted a lot about it on instagram this weekend (sorry about that if you weren't interested) because I knew I'd never get the posts up before the sale. You might be able to find some on the resale market, which we encourage in The Octosquad. Come join us. I am a benevolent god.
This is the one I purchased! I'm so excited!!!
