B.I.T.C.H. by Jaclyn and Octopus Party Nail Lacquer are the last, but definitely not least, duo I have to share. It is the perfect note to end the week with, as I think this might be the most striking pairing of all four.
(promotional samples ahead)
Snow Ho
Snow Ho is a frothy white shimmering microflake polish that looks like freshly fallen snow in a cartoon universe. It is blindingly bright and delicately shimmery all at the same time. I did find this one to be a touch on the thick side, but I did open it straight away when it arrived on my doorstep...which is not something I normally do. (Nail Polish should always be allowed to rest for a day when it arrives by mail) It also had a slightly stronger smell than I am used to from this brand, but I will accept it because these flakes don't sink. I used two of the thinnest coats I could manage over bare nails + a layer of Seche Vite for the pictures below.
Polar Duress
Polar Duress is a dusty deep slate holo with a slightly metallic teal underbelly. It is thick in all the best ways, and I probably would do a single medium coat for normal wear. I used two for the pictures below + a layer of SV.
I decided to try stamping again since I still had a few designs on the LadyQueen Beauty plate to try out. It turned out to be "just ok". I am definitely not a stamping expert, but I think it is good enough considering my current skill level. Adding a matte coat to the stamped nails certainly helped make the design visible. I think that I setting myself up for fail by trying to stamp holos...no matter how opaque.
B.I.T.C.H. by Jaclyn has retired, and this might be her last hurrah. You can still check out her fan group on FB for swaps, sales, and chatter. And I would, as always, check out the Octosquad to see if you can't grab the OPNL shade on the rebound.
