Indigo Bananas: A Tiny Taste of Awesomeness

Indigo Bananas makes some fun stuff. We all know this. If you browse the tag here on the blog, you'll see this is fast becoming an oft-featured brand. I love the unique finishes and colors...and very few people can match her eye for fuchsias. I have a tiny trio of shades from the Halloween 2015 era...and looking at the shop, I see a few more I need to add to my collection.

(promotional samples ahead)

Call me Mabel
I think I might have an Oops or a reformulation of this shade, because the one in the listing looks like a deeper pink. Of course, now I have to buy that one for comparisons sake. My hoarder tendencies commitment to complete blog posts demands it. The shade I have is a cool toned pale rose pink super-ultra linear holo with a soft dusting of glitter. Looking at the Pantone Colors for 2016, I would swear that they saw this post before choosing...this pink fits right in. I used two thin coats + seche vite for these pictures.

Land Before Swine
Land Before Swine is a blackened olive jelly dripping in shifting orange-to-green shimmer and stuffed with iridescent flakies. I was initially worried about this one, as flaked jellies can be fussy for me...but this one behaved impeccably. I used three thin coats + SV and there was no pitting, dabbing, or complaining to be had.

Little Big Dipper
Little Big Dipper is a medium warm denim blue super-ultra linear holo swirling with multiple shades of glitter. This is another shade that would definitely fit the Pantone bill...see what I mean about them stealing my secrets?! The glitter in this is delightfully dense and makes this shade a stunner even without the sun to make it sing. I used two normal coats + a layer of SV for these pictures.

Do you have a favorite IB shade? Before this, I might have said one of her stellar fuchsias...but now I don't know. I think I need to do more "research" before I make my decision. Let's just hope my wallet survives.

  1. Well, Land Before Swine is fucking amazing. Why am I only seeing this after I've spent all my money on gifts for other people?! This is why I should stay on top of my blog reading.
