Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer is one of those brands that I love, but I don't think enough people know about yet. The formulas are silky smooth and wonderful, the colors are fun, and the maker is a just a doll. As this trying year for indie polish draws to a close, I think we should turn away from the awful among us, and pay more attention to those who deserve it. And also shiny things. Because shiny.
(promotional samples ahead)
Deluxe is a super-rich cadet blue syrupy shade with silver flecks floating within. I think it would make an excellent TARDIS blue, and I think any Whovian would be glad to catch this in their stocking this Christmas. I used two medium coats + Seche Vite below, and I had no troubles at all.
Frisky is an electric violet neon jelly-ish filled with silvery blue shifting shimmers. It is the best neon I have worn in a long time, and I was definitely sad to take it off. I used three whisper-thin coats + SV for the pictures below.
Kiss My Sass is a searingly bright cool-toned neon pink with a fine gold pearl. Like a true neon, it dries slightly matte, so I used a nice layer of SV for these pictures. It is happily UV reactive as well. I used two normal coats below.
Posh is my favorite. I really try not to pick a favorite before I am finished swatching, but I could stop here and be totally happy. This cool violet cream is filled with rose-gold shimmer and it glows like magic. I could wear this every day and never tire of it. I used two normal coats + SV here, and that pearly glow makes it look a million miles deep.
Brazen is a rosy warm blush holo with a metallic undercurrent. It is a great SFW shade and is very likely universally flattering. I used two normal coats + SV for the pictures here.
Brash is a warm, plummy violet holo with quite likely some coppery gold flakes hiding here and there. The linear holo is so strong it is hard to tell what else might be lurking. I am definitely not complaining about that. I used two normal coats + SV here and it was as smooth as glass.
Divine is a emerald teal superholo. It is glowy and magical and I love it. I was initially afraid of it because teals tend to stain me...but it left without a trace once I was done. I used two thin coats + SV here and it glowed like fire.
This isn't a proper collection, though I feel like there is enough of a cohesive vibe that it could have been one. This is more of a "hahaha lets gtfo of etsy!" celebration. Check out her shiny new shop, and keep your eyes peeled for sales.
