Creme a la Mode Box #2

In this vast sea of amazingly shiny things, the Creme a la Mode box has returned to give us a brief respite. It is the same impressive line-up of brilliant brands, and somehow they have brought us an even better quartet of creamy shades. If this box is any indication, I think by box #4 each shade will turn you into a unicorn while you wear it.

Digital Nails Arboreal
Arboreal is the teal my heart yearned for after getting OPI Amazon Amaz-off last year. But now with a dustier finish and without that pesky blue staining. This formula is fabulous, even with our weird humidity lately. I needed two sparse coats + Seche Vite for the pictures below and I was left with a glossy, almost lucite-like finish. The color is reminds me a bit of Gumby, and I am feeling super nostalgic about this color.

Indigo Bananas Scarlet Night
In my never-ending search for the perfect blood red, I have tried a lot of shades and brands. I don't know that I have ever found a more vampy-but-not, oxblood-but-delicate, dried-blood-but-not-creepy shade of red. Ever. This has a thin, jelly-like formula and is opaque in three paper thin coats. I might be in love here, ya'll.

This color, you guys. It is fabulous. It is almost a perfectly neutral smokey lilac shade. It is slightly thick, but not at all unwieldy to apply. It reminds me of a better version of that franken I made last year. It levels itself silkily and I only needed two coats + SV for the pictures below.

Welcome to the party, Stacy's Mom. This warm, bright pink will attract all of the attention...and yet it is still somehow refined and dignified. It reminds me of an electric bubblegum pink, and I love that it is so unexpected this time of year. It has a jelly-ish formula and I used two coats + SV for the pictures below.

I love this box more than the last. I didn't think it was possible, but I really really do. The colors are more adventurous for the season and the formulas are sublime. I do hope that this creme box continues for a long time to come...because I can't imagine what amazing shades will pop up for spring.
