I am actually starting to enjoy this nail art challenge. It is definitely forcing me to do some thinking...though I think I kinda missed the mark this go round. I had the colors "black and white" along with the theme of "stained glass" Wut. Those are two things that I never, ever, ever would have put together. And yet...I kinda did.
Colors Used:
OPI Crown Me Already
OPI Color Paints Indigo Motif
OPI Color Paints Pen & Pink
OPI Color Paints Landscape Artist
OPI Color Paints Primarily Yellow
Sally Hansen Nail Art Pens in Black and White
China Glaze White on White
I think that those Sally Hansen pens were the death of me here. The black one is nearly eight years old now, and it has about given up the ghost. The white one was shit from the start, but I kept trying because I am lazy. But I think now that I am trying to use acrylic paints more, I will be doing my stripes and things with them from now on...The level of cracking and bleeding I got here was just crazy. I tried to fix it with the only white I had handy, and I think I just made it worse.
It's not perfect, by any stretch. If I were a more patient person, I might have done some taping or used a proper striper...but nope, that is not very me. I do really like them, but at arms length. I'm sure in life, no one else noticed how drippy they looked.
Now you've seen what I've done with the black and white, now go see some others. Some of these are amazing.
Ppft. Black and white. There's a reason movies are in color now ;-)
