(promotional samples ahead)
Tis the season for spooky shades and chilling screams. But first, we polish. And what is better than a frighteningly fabulous duo? Well, usually nothing...but this time its a scary pair from The Lady Varnishes and Sweetheart Polish!
This terrifying shade is a ghoulish mint green jelly filled with warm ectoplasmic hexes in a multitude of sizes. I needed three thin coats + SV for the pictures below, and I thought I was ready to rock.
And then I turned the lights out.
How did I not know it glows in the damned dark? I spazzed out a bit while setting up the tripod, because this glow had to be captured. Protip: don't do low-light photography on more than one cup of coffee. Trust me.
Hurry Ba-ack!
This is a frighteningly dark black jelly polish positively drowning in shiny things. There is a liberal dusting of holo pigment swirling around fuchsia, lime, and aqua hexes. These bright hexes do react to UV light, but of course I decided to have two cups of coffee before swatching...and there was a little bit of camera shudder. Oh well. It is still ghoulishly glorious in regular light. I used three coats + SV for the pictures below.
The weather was suddenly warm (seriously, California? 40°F to 80°F is too much. Stahp. Choose a season) and it is playing hell with all of my toppers, hence the less-than-glossy finish. I wish El Niño would just hurry up.
This duo, like Halloween, only comes once a year and for a very limited time. You can grab it in either shop for $20USD + shipping. Don't let it slip by, or you'll be haunted all year!
