Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer: Core Sampling

(promotional samples ahead)

Are you a fan of brands that keep a core collection? Or is a constantly rotating line-up of shiny things more your speed? The glorious thing about the Indieverse is that you can pretty much get both at any time you want. Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer has decided to jump into the core collection game...and with a serious splash. I was lucky enough to check out four of the new shades, and let me tell you: Yes Please.

Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer

Innocent
This peachy pink shade has a delightful gold flash. I think I spy gold flecks in there too. It reminds me of Nars Orgasm...but turned to 11. This is supremely wearable and totally SFW. I used two thin coats plus a layer of Seche Vite, and it was glossy and glowy and deep. I could wear this color all year round. I am surprised that this warm peach actually looks ok against my skin. I feel like this would be a great beachy color...and not just because its been hotter than hell around here and I want to be a beach hobo until the weather breaks.

Mischief
Here is a warm orangey red shade stuffed with gold flecks. It reminds me of fire, and I glowed wonderfully even in dim light. I only needed two coats and the regular SV, and I was ready to roll. I feel like this a great seasonal-transition color. It is bright enough for summer, but cozy and glowy enough for fall.

Vamp Tramp
Now, time for the evening side of the shades! This is a cozy warmed plummy metallic purple. I was at first a little worried...metallics and me don't always get on...but this one was blessedly brush stroke-lite. Again, this is a wonderful two-coater. It is a great day/night shade. It is subdued and refined enough for daytime, but dark enough for a night out. This would be a great Friday night polish.

Vixen
I know, I am not supposed to pic favorites. But I do...because reasons. This is a wonderfully rusty-red shade...it reminds me almost of a Dr Pepper can! It is perfectly Fall: just the right amount of warm and red and rust and cozy all wrapped up in a glossy metallic coat. Two coats plus SV, and I was on my way here...which always makes me happy. I think this would be a great pedicure color. I think I could go a few weeks with this one and not get bored.

So what is the verdict? Do you have a favorite? I definitely love Vixen...as everyone expected me to do...but Innocent is ringing a few bells for me as well. It is so delicate and pretty and girly...and unusual in my ever-expanding hoard. Let me know in the comments which one you would choose if you had to pick just one!
