Carpe Noctem Cosmetics Calypso

Emily from Carpe Noctem Cosmetics is a damned genius. How many times have I typed that? I bet it is more than once. She makes some amazingly beautiful polishes, and the new version of Calypso is no exception.

Calypso is a softly grayed lavender  holo with a pink flash. I used two average coats and threw a layer of SV on top. No brush strokes, no bumpies, no crazieness. That makes me a happy girl!

In the sun, this shade somehow manages to cool off a bit, which is witchcraft. That slightly gray tinge turns into a delightful smoked out blue and the pink flash sings with the addition of sunlight. The holo is a delicate and tasteful addition and doesn't overpower the unusual color. I feel like this is going to be a popular color around these parts come springtime.

So there ya go! I don't have the original Calypso, but I can't imagine it being better than this. This seems like the pinnacle of purple polishes. And yes, I do love alliterations.
