Baroness X Quiet Enchantment (Part One)

promotional samples ahead

Are you ready for a tiny break from the hot neons of summer? A cool breeze at twilight, all full of the promise of sweaters and warm drinks...it is just what the doctor ordered. Since weather control falls under the "evil villain" category, Baroness X has made us a quartet of relaxed, glowing, shimmery multichromes to tide us over until we can break out the blankets.

Baroness X Quiet Enchantment Collection (part one)

Ammil
Ammil is like a twilight sky just as it turns to night. It has a predominant plummy purple shade with an oil-slick like shift. I declare it impossible to describe. It is a multichrome. In addition to the mercurial shifts, it has a galactic sprinkle of holo glitters and pigments. It is amazing in any freaking lighting. Formula-wise, it is perfect. It has an almost jelly feel, but it can be opaque in two medium coats (which is what I have done here) but I think that next time I would use three super-thin coats so that I get a bit more depth.

Glisk
This is the early twilight sister to Ammil. It has a lovely icy shine under the oil-slick shift. At some angles, to me, this one feels a bit tropical...I can't put my finger on why though. The holo pigment and shimmers feel much more delicate in this shade, though they are still pretty pronounced. The formula is a wee bit thinner than Ammil, and I definitely think that three coats is the way to go.

These holo shades...oh man. I don't even know what I can say. Who doesn't love multichromes and holos? Bad people, thats who. Bad bad people. These are adorably awesome in their mini bottles (yeah I guess you can buy the full size too. I'm just in love with these minis) full of liquid twilight. And this is only part one!!! You can tell by my liberal use of punctuation that I am extra excited.

Check back next month for the thrilling conclusion!

(small correction, as I am a month early on posting these...they will be available SEPTEMBER 18. Don't take pain killers and schedule things, kids.)

  1. Haha I guess I am one of those bad people because I prefer my holos to be just holos and my duochromes to be shimmery mostly! But these shades are gorgeous and you captured them beautifully!

  2. Oh, these look pretty! Are the holo glitters really flakes? Do they lie flat or have texture? I can't blow up the macros big enough to see in the collage (panics).
