Glam Polish Got Blues Trio

Do all the summer neons leave your eyes feeling burnt out? I know that sometimes a nice refreshing blue is what I want after weeks and weeks of brights...but I can't quite bring myself to go completely normal. Happily, Glam Polish has us covered this summer with their upcoming Got the Blues Trio!

Storm
Storm is a denimy, dusty purple ultra-holo. It is almost blindingly bright, even indoors.  It is the most universally appealing shade in this collection, I think. Some folks hate glitter because they are evil and some people are picky about blues...but only bad people don't like purples. Not striking that out, ya'll. There is a shade of purple out there for everyone. I used two thin coats and a layer of the Magic Shine topper for the pics below and I was a happy girl.

Paradise
I admit that I clapped my hands like a kid when I saw this soothingly cool teal-leaning blue holo. I loveLOVElove multichrome flakes, and the tiny ones in this polish just sing like angels. I have a serious love-hate relationship with blues and teals. I worship the ground they walk on...and then tend to stain me. Some really badly (I'm looking at you, Amazon-Amazoff), and others only faintly. This one left a slight residue of aqua...but it came right off with a few extra swipes of a remover-soaked pad. I think on a normal human, there would be no problems. I used just two whisper-thin coats followed by a layer of the Magic Shine and am happy with the glass-smooth finish.

Ice Palace
With all the wee Frozen fans in my house, you know that any polish that looks like Queen Elsa could have worn it is going to be a huge hit. Ice Palace is a delicately minty blue glitter dripping in holo. I love it.  It is so frosty and clean. Again, only two coats were needed plus a layer of the Magic Shine topper to make everything smooth and happy and opaque. I am itching to try this one over a bright warm pink...ooh, or maybe even a deep orange! I do love a good contrast.

Overall, the collection is exactly what I expect from Glam Polish at this point: perfect formula, unique combinations, and amazing wear-times. I ended up wearing Storm for several days while waiting for the sun to poke its head out, and it wore like iron. If you are in the market for something icy to take the edge off that summer weather, I highly recommend this collection.

These (and so many shiny others) will be available from the Glam Polish shop August 1, 2015. And don't forget, you can still get your Glam on through their international stockists. There is glittery goodness for everyone.

And for funsies...here is my tiniest minion wearing just one coat of Ice Palace. Now, as a testament to the longevity of this polish, I can say that it survived for nearly a week on these five-year-old fingertips. There was no prepping involved here, no base or top coat applied, and these fingers spent an inordinate amount of time in the sand. So...this stuff can take a beating.

"...but only bad people don't like purples." - How dare you, madam! Ok, I don't dislike purples, I'm just very picky about them. Still, blue is better.
