Blank Label Products Mani Bomb: Mother of Dragons

A while ago, I got a superawesome birthday gift from a dear friend. Included in that gift was some deliciously smelly mani bombs from Blank Label Products. I was stoked because I hadn't really tried any of the scented mani bombs that are floating about the universe. I decided that since I figured out how to youtube (a little) I should make a demo video to go along with my review!

This product is so delightful. I don't have a huge breadth of experience with which to measure mani bombs...but I know quality when I soak my skin in it. The labels, the packaging...all of it gives the spa experience. I love unicorns and rainbows as much as the next Lisa Frank survivor...but for "me time", I do like a little refinement.

The smell reminds me of this Victoria's Secret lotion that I had when I was in my early 20s...strawberries and champagne. (It looks like they still sell it, I can't comment on whether or not the stuff still smells good. I imagine it smells the same...but who knows? I hate the smell of that store now.) But there is also that warm nutty scent from the natural oils that keeps it from being overly sweet. Bonus, when I dumped this out in my bathtub (my sink was full of dishes. Dont judge me) my whole hallway smelled divine.

It bubbled strongly for three minutes, and soaking my hands in it did cause a few bubbles to erupt here and there. It was very reminiscent of the DIY foot soaks that I generally make: moisturizing and soothing...but this smelled a lot more luxurious. After about eight minutes of soaking in lukewarm water, I removed my hands and blotted them dry. My skin felt very moisturized and happy. My only drawback, and its a tiny one, is that the clays left my palms feeling a bit weird. But I have the same problem with most skin care products. I am weird.

All in all, I was pretty thrilled with the mani bombs. They behaved wonderfully, smelled like fuckingmagic and made my skin feel like satiny awesome. I will definitely be buying more. I wonder if she makes bath bombs in this scent...

Oh, and take a peek at my video. Let me know what you think!

  1. Your movie is excellent. Not too dramatic, with a little comedy, and just enough suspense. :P
