Man, April Fool's Day is really the best. Some awesome things come out of there. When I saw this adorable little set, I nearly choked on my coffee with laughter. Then I went and grabbed my wallet. I half expected it to be a joke...but thankfully it was 100% real.
It was a three-piece set featuring a lovely chocolatey brown holo
poolish polish with red flakes and glitters, a generously sized chocolate scented cuticle oil, and a small bundle of felt poolish polish removing pads. I felt like this set was not only right up my alley humor-wise, but a good introduction to this brand. Everyone rants and raves about the E&A cuticle oils, so I felt like this was a sign from the gods. Also...its just funny.
I found my very first E&A polish to be lovely. It was a little on the thick side, but this
poolish polish is packed with glitter and shiny things...so I'm not surprised. It was opaque in two coats, and wasn't a pain in the side (teehee) to clean up (ew). I will definitely be watching this brand closely from now on. It is hard to not want to buy from folks with a sound sense of humor.
I found the oil to be very moisturizing...but I am not a fan of the smell. I didn't expect to be either. I am generally firmly against any sort of scented oils or balms for my hands. I will probably be swapping this at some point, but I am glad I tried it. Instead of a brush, this bottle has a little rollerball for applying the oil. My kids think its perfume, and for a few days they definitely smelled like chocolate. I have no idea how they kept finding it. E&A happily offers unscented, so that will be in my cart for my next order fo'sho.
I didn't try the felt remover pads because the whole idea amuses me as-is. I have decided that they will be displayed somewhere in my house in their current condition. Every time I look at it, I grin/grimace/giggle.
