A Delicate Sky

When I got this pale blue polish from Emily at CNC, I was worried. All of my googling led me to swatches that were either heavily layered or sheer...and with my yellow tips, sheer was not for me. This polish has a very ethereal quality to it, and I struggled to figure out how to show that...until I got some new creams. It's like fate stepped in and slapped me in the mouth.

I am never very comfortable with subtle. I admit, it isn't my strongest suit. I feel like I always miss the mark in one direction or the other. But this one...I dunno. I think I got it here. The Lavender/Show Steel-er gradient was subtle on its own, and when I sponged a layer of Under a Glass Moon over, it just gave it that "almost dawn" kinda shift. I definitely like it. I find myself wishing I had used a matte coat too...

You may notice the edges looking a little funny on this (and the next) manicure. I finally found the NYC peel-off base coat, so I've been playing with it. I promise to have a full review and pictures soon. But so far, its rather interesting. And fun. Who doesn't love peeling off their polish?

This manicure is only part one of my manicure. I hadn't planned to wear this alone, but I loved it so much it got a little time in the sun before I slathered it in glitter. Stay tuned!
