I'm a bit of a geek when it comes to space. Not about the science of it, really. I am not a big fan of math. But planets absolutely fascinate me. Space travel, nebulae, stars...its all so amazing and awesome. It's no secret that I am fighting a bit of a rut these days, and I figured that there may be no better time to finally do one of the pet projects I've had in my head for years. So, without further ado, lets start the show!

Forever ago, I picked up a black textured polish. I had this plan to use it for something else...but it never happened. I am often full of ideas, but rather empty on follow-through when it comes to artistic things. I was laying in bed, watching Ancient Aliens (yes. I love it) when I realized that it would be perfect for this.

I think I captured the bleak, uneven surface pretty successfully. I added glitter because I found through my light research that Mercury actually has ice at its polar regions. Who knew that it could exist so close to the Sun? Also...I like matte glitter. It's pretty. I'm proud of how this turned out, and I'm looking forward to tackling Venus next.
Do you like space? Want to learn some things about Mercury?
