Cristina of Lipstick & Nail Polish is one of my favorite "general beauty" bloggers. She has impeccable taste in all things cosmetic-related, and when she decided to start her own line of bath, body, and nail products I knew I was going to love it. I love being right.

Lipstick & Nail Polish vinyl stencils
Looks pretty good, huh? And no...this wasn't a Halloween manicure. I just liked it...but I did do this back in October, and my brain was feeling pretty spooky. I feel like I should say that my experience with vinyl stencils is superduper limited. I love the look of them, but most of my attempts end with me crumpling them into a ball and throwing them at my cat while cursing their ancestors.
These went much better.
As a noob, I found these quite easy to apply. I only really got hung up in two spots. First, I couldn't figure out how to get all the little inside-y spots to come off cleanly...so I just stuck the stencil to my lint roller. That actually worked out really well. Second was me getting the stencil stuck to...something and then it tore. I did have enough wisdom to take some of the tack off on my palm before sticking them down, and that was super helpful. I didn't end up removing my whole manicure when it was time to remove the stencil.
Would I buy these?
Absolutely. For three reasons, specifically.
- They are less than three bucks for ten stencils. I can streeeeetch one of two vinyls per hand (shut up. I accept the deteriorating quality because I'm cheap). And if I am only doing an accent, I can use one for a whole manicure. That is potentially ten manicures worth of awesome, which means it only costs me 30c per manicure. Yes, please.
- If you have smaller than normal nails, or are ordering for children, you can contact her and she can make you decals that are more appropriately sized for you. A lot of people have wee nails and hands, and decals are generally just too huge to be of any use to them. The fact that she thinks about the wee folk (CWUTIDIDTHAR) makes me want to support her brand.
- I like supporting fellow bloggers. Simple as that. If we support each other, imagine what we can do!
You can check out her blog here and her shop can be found here. If you want to try the brand out, I definitely recommend scampering on over asap. She seems to have all of her Halloween bombs on sale! (spoiler alert, the Cavaleras smell like incense and I love them. I can't wait to move so I can order more!)
