It is no secret that I am in love with Emily of Carpe Noctem Cosmetics. She was one of my very first indies and will always have a special place in my heart. Her friendly nature and easily accessible presence in the fangroup have made a lot of other folks fall for her too. Little did we know, she loved us all dearly right back. In fact, she was making polish inspired by some lucky ladies! And let me tell you, when that girl decides to go all out...well, lets just say that all of our wallets are going to hurt in 2016.
Because She Danced to Space Jam
This shade was inspired by my darling dear Jenalyn and it is fabulous. You guys know how I feel about fuchsias...so I will not wax too poetic about it. Suffice to say, it is amazing. Two thin coats and I was happy as a clam.
This shade was inspired by the lovely Schette, everyone's favorite European indie blogger. It is a deep-but-soft periwinkle blue holo with a gold underflash, holo glitter, and multichrome flakes. The formula is the standard magic jelly CNC holo formula: just this side of creamy. I used two thin coats + SV for the pictures below.
My Nurse Has Sparkles
This shade was inspired by the lovely Ali T. It is a cacaphony of awesome. I can't even describe it. Purple glitter, holo, red, blue, violet micro glitters....sigh. It is magic. It has that ethereal squish that Emily does so well, and I only needed two coats for the pictures below.
Classy as Fuck
This glorious deep red shade was inspired by the Polished Hippy. It is a deep, vibrant red holo filled with holo sparks and glitters. It has the slighted pinkish-red flash at certain angles and a warm blood-red at others. It applies like a dream and I used two thin coats + SV for the pictures below.
Who Puts Sticks Up Their Butts
This pale warm mint is inspired by my salty soul mate Cate of AlltheGreenPolish on instagram. It is the perfect color for her, and I can't wait to see it on her angry little fingers. It is a soft minty holo with multichrome flakes and I used two normal coats + SV for the pictures below.
This mysterious deep green is inspired by Jenny. It is a jelly-ish holo filled with holo glitter and silver flakes. It also has a soft warm green flash at certain angles and applies like a silk dress. I used just two thin coats + SV for these pictures.
It looks like Emily and Carpe Noctem are starting 2016 with a real bang. If this is what she is starting the year with...what the hell does she possibly have in store for us later? I can't wait to find out.
